The expansion of Sabah Hospital is to provide a free standing self-sufficient facility supporting the complement of existing healthcare related facilities which collectively create the Sabah Health Region Campus. The new Hospital as well as the remaining existing healthcare buildings and services will be interdependent in almost all clinical, administrative and service departments.
The Hospital will provide 617 beds within a gross building area of approximately 200,000 square meters plus a multi-story car park for approximately 1400 cars.
The site is formed by a Greenfield site of approximately 60,000 square meters with a total area of approximately 88,710 square meters in the Al Sabah Medical district in Kuwai
